Website Giveaway – Island Web Assistant

1. Organizer
This giveaway is organized and administered by Island Web Assistant.
This promotion is independent and is not administered by, sponsored by, or officially affiliated with Facebook or any other third-party platform.

2. Eligibility
The giveaway is open to:

• Current members of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Centre; and
• Businesses that become Chamber members during the campaign period.
• Entrants must operate a legitimate business and comply with applicable local laws and regulations.
• Only one entry per business is permitted.

3. Campaign Period

• Campaign runs: February 9 – February 22
• Entries close: February 22 at 11:59 PM (local time)
• Chamber membership verification: February 23

• Winner selection: March 1 at 11:00 AM

!! Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

4. How to Enter
To participate, eligible businesses must:

• Be a current Chamber member or become a member during the campaign period.
• Follow the Island Web Assistant Facebook page.

Submit an entry by commenting on the official giveaway post with:

• Business name
• Description of the business
• A brief statement of goals or values
• Incomplete or inaccurate entries may be disqualified.

5. Prize Details
The prize consists of one (1) basic 5-page WordPress business website, including:

• Template-based design
• Mobile-friendly layout
• Foundational SEO setup

* Example pages may include: Home, About, Services, Contact, and one additional page (e.g., Gallery, Reviews, or Policies).

6. Exclusions
The following are not included in the prize:

• Domain name registration
• Web hosting
• Logo design
• Ongoing maintenance or technical support
• E-commerce functionality
• Booking systems
• Custom development or advanced functionality

!! Website content (text, images, branding materials) must be provided by the business owner.

!! The selected hosting provider must support WordPress.

7. Winner Selection
The winner will be selected through an online random draw conducted on March 1 at 11:00 AM.
The selected winner must confirm acceptance within seven (7) days.
If the winner does not respond within this period, a new winner may be selected.

8. Prize Conditions
The prize is:

• Non-transferable
• Not redeemable for cash
• Not exchangeable

Island Web Assistant reserves the right to refuse or cancel the prize if the selected business engages in unlawful, inappropriate, or unethical activities.

9. Limitation of Liability

• Island Web Assistant is not responsible for:
• Technical issues affecting entries
• Incorrect or incomplete information submitted by participants
• Hosting-related or third-party service interruptions
• The delivered website will be provided “as is” within the defined scope.

10. General Conditions
Island Web Assistant reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if necessary
• Disqualify any participant who violates these terms
• Participation in this giveaway constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
